The Tiger Battalion is FORSCOM’s premier training organization for the security cooperation and security force assistance mission. Train deploying FORSCOM units and key leaders across the United States to advise and assist foreign security forces to meet Geographic Combatant Commander security cooperation and security force assistance requirements. In Panama, Advisors identified knowledge gaps hindering the National Border Service’s transition from analog to digital maintenance operations.Military Advisors’ impact will resonate throughout the entirety of the Colombian Army with their feedback being implemented in the country’s professional military education. Advisor teams operating out of Tolemaida Air Army Airfield, Colombia began work with military institutional units in the country. In Columbia, Advisors partnered with the Counternarcotics and Transnational Threats Command to develop their staff’s processes and progress them to a fully operational status.In Honduras, Advisors have made progress in developing the noncommissioned officer academy and have partnered with the Honduran 1st Engineer Battalion to improve their employment of Acrow Modular Bridging assets.Some of our major accomplishments to date: 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade partnerships have spanned three foreign armies within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility in Latin America. 1st SFAB teams remain persistently employed in Columbia, Honduras, and Panama with the primary goals of training, advising, assisting, and building interoperability with our partners from competition to crisis to conflict.
